Tagged along on a buddy's Mesquite trip last month, played Wolf Creek for the first time. Best views I've ever had on a golf course, no contest. Also beat me half to death.
Shot 104. Lost 9 balls. There's a par 3 up on the ridge where you're hitting into what is basically a canyon, and short is just gone forever. Cart GPS would not shut up about the hazards either, felt like it was trolling me personally.
My real issue: I never felt like I was playing golf, more like a video game with a gorgeous backdrop. Is that a me thing or does everyone get that? The par 5 8th dropping off that ridge is unreal, greens were quick too.
Anyway I'd go back just for the photos. My ego needs a year off first.
