So I've been watching way too many youtube shorts and one of them was about hitting driver off the deck for those long par 5s where you've got a good lie. Figured why not, my 3 wood has been a disaster lately anyway.
First attempt: topped it about 40 yards into the rough. Second: actually caught it decent, low bullet that ran out forever, probably 230 total. Third one I tried to get under it a bit and just about broke my wrist lol.
My buddy who's a 6 handicap was watching and said I'm an idiot and to just buy a 5 wood. He might be right. But that one good one felt insane.
Anyone actually use driver off the deck on purpose? Or is this just a youtube trick that ruins rounds?
