Not a drill thread, sorry in advance.

Elbow tendonitis in my left arm got bad enough that I couldn't hit balls for two weeks. Not "took it easy" two weeks either, actually zero. Chipped a little in the yard, that's it. Went to the range Tuesday with no expectations, mostly just testing if the arm would hold up, and I flushed everything. 8 iron carrying 155 with a draw I haven't seen since spring. Wedges crisp. Long irons felt easy.

I've been chasing that for two years with drills. Right elbow tuck, pump drill, wall drill, the whole menu. Two weeks of doing nothing did more than any of them did.

My theory, and I might be wrong: I was so deep in drill mode that my body never got to just swing the club. Every session was positions, positions, positions. Sitting on the couch for two weeks let all that noise drain out and the old swing came back on its own. Kind of annoying honestly.

Anyone else had a forced layoff reset them like this? And does it stick, or am I back to elbow tucking in three weeks?
