Spyglass Hill first time - Pebble's mean little brother?

Played Spyglass last month, resort guest rate was $415 which felt like a steal next to Pebble's number. Front six along the ocean are unreal, then it turns inland into the trees and just starts punching you in the mouth. Shot 96 with 4 lost balls. Greens were pure poa rolling stupid fast, I three-putted four times and I'm usually decent on the greens.

The 4th, par 4 over the water? Hit 3 wood and still came up short. Wind was doing something weird off the ocean and I never figured it out.

Here's my hot take: I liked it more than Pebble. Less circus, more actual golf. My buddy who's played both like 6 times says I'm out of my mind. Anyone else played Spyglass and have a take? And what'd you shoot your first time out there, I need to know if 96 is embarrassing or normal.
