Played Southern Pines in NC last week. Solid Ross track, greens were rolling true, but fairways a bit shaggy for the price. Not sure it's worth the $150 peak rate. Anyone else played it recently?
Main reason I'm posting: tried to book the tee time with my crypto debit card (been using it for golf trips to dodge the usual bank nonsense) and the course's payment portal wouldn't accept it. Had to fall back on my regular Visa, and of course Chase flagged it as fraud because I was out of state. Took 45 minutes on the phone to clear it. Missed my original tee time, had to play twilight. Still salty.
How do you guys handle booking trips when your bank thinks every out-of-state charge is a crime? I'm this close to just using offshore books for everything, but that's a whole other headache.
