Thinking about rounding up the usual suspects for a long weekend on the Robert Trent Jones Trail in Alabama. Late April. None of us have done it before. I've heard the value is insane compared to the big resort spots, but I'm worried about the heat and humidity kicking in early. We're not spring chickens anymore.
Anyone done the trail? We're looking at Capitol Hill or Grand National, maybe squeeze in Ross Bridge. Is late April already a sweatfest or still playable? And what's the deal with the lodging packages, are they worth it or should we just Airbnb?
