So I've been forcing myself out at like 5:45am to beat the heat and honestly... my scores are down. Shot an 84 last Saturday at Aguila, which is like 6 strokes better than my usual. Is it the soft greens? The fact that nobody's out there so I'm not waiting on every tee box?

Or am I just so miserable from the heat that I stop overthinking every shot and just hit the damn ball? Because that's my working theory right now. When it's 108 and I'm sweating through my glove on hole 4, I don't have the mental bandwidth to second guess my club selection. I just grab something and swing.

Anyone else notice this? Or am I about to eat crow in October when it cools down and I'm back to shooting 90s. Also if you're playing afternoon rounds in July you're built different, I tried it once and nearly passed out on 14.
