rk_designs. 41, play out of a muni that never gets the mower out on the back nine. Been lurking here for months, finally made an account so I have somewhere to complain that isn't my group chat.
Golf background, quick version: play 3x a week in season, index has been stuck at 12 for two years like it's glued there. Learned on shaggy fairways as a kid so I still can't hit a flop off a tight lie. Old irons, older driver. I'll take 95 and windy over 60 with drizzle every single time, and I know half of you will fight me on that.
Here's the thing that eats at me though. My state is one of the last few that won't legalize anything, so every golf betting app and DFS site is geo-blocked. Tried the VPN route last summer. Worked about six weeks until the book asked for a selfie holding my ID, then froze the account with $340 still in it. Money's gone, no appeal, no email back. So now I'm on the offshore stuff and my bank flags the deposit processors half the time. Got a fraud alert call at 11pm on a Tuesday because I tried to push $50 to something called "Digital Solutions Group." My wife loved that.
Anyway, I'm mostly here for the golf. Anyone else stuck in a dead zone state? What's actually working for you, if anything, or do I just keep playing for pride and yelling at my putter.
