Low spin drivers are just... boring? Need to hear opinions!

So I've been reading through all the threads here, and honestly, the obsession with low spin drivers right now is starting to feel like a trend that's gonna ruin golf, IMO. Like, everyone is talking about those super low-profile, aerodynamic bombs and how they offer 'maximum efficiency,' right? But have you actually experienced that feeling? Because I think we're forgetting how much of the game is just pure, satisfying ball flight!

I mean, look at my driver, I'm running a slightly older model, maybe a couple of years back, and it launches it just a little higher and gives it a bit more spin than these modern ultra-low-spin things. And what does that mean practically? It means the ball stays in the air longer, it holds its flight better through the wind, and honestly, the trajectory just feels more 'right' for my swing. It feels less like I'm trying to force the ball to hug the ground and more like I'm letting physics do its job!

But then you hear the marketing. They promise these low-spin things will solve all range carry issues and keep the ball glued to the fairway, and sure, they do a fine job for the average amateur who just wants to see it go straight. But if you've got a medium-to-fast swing, you need that lift to really give the ball the optimal time aloft to clear the fairway and land in a good position for the approach. Trying to force a high-speed, low-spin ball to hold its distance without ballooning feels like a constant fight with the physics instead of a smooth connection.

Anyone else feel like the industry has over-engineered the speed and ignored the flight characteristics? I'm not saying high spin is inherently bad, but if it sacrifices that sweet, soaring trajectory that makes a drive feel epic, then what's the point? What's your setup doing, guys? Are you guys chasing the lowest spin number possible, or are you prioritizing that perfect hang time? I'd love to hear what other people are running, especially if they've switched from a high-launch model to one of these low-spin behemoths and regretted it!
