So I've been messing around with drawing a line on my ball for putting. You know, the whole 'line up the line, then line up your putter' thing. And honestly? I think it's making me worse! I get so focused on the line that I forget about speed. I've left so many putts 5 feet short because I'm trying to make the perfect stroke on the line. Anyone else have this problem? Or am I just overthinking it? I know some pros swear by it, but for me it's been a disaster. Maybe it's just a mental thing? I've gone back to no line and my lag putting is way better. But now I'm second-guessing my alignment. Ugh. What say you?
I've been using a Sharpie line for 3 months, and my 3-putt percentage has gone up. Not what I wanted. Maybe I need to try a different color? Or just ditch it entirely.
