Golf trip with two guys who've never broken 100 - bad idea?

So my college roommate is getting married and instead of a real bachelor party he wants a golf weekend. Problem is half the group has played maybe 5 rounds total, and I'm the only one under a 20 handicap.

I keep picturing 6 hour rounds, lost balls in the woods, and me standing over a putt while somebody asks what club I'm using for the 4th time. But he's set on it and honestly I'd rather do this than Vegas.

Anyone done a trip like this? Do we just play scrambles the whole time, or do I stick them on a short course day one and pray? Looking at Myrtle since there's enough courses that we can split up if it goes sideways.

Also how many balls do I need to buy. Serious question.
