Found out I've been aiming 15 yards right this whole time

Played with my buddy Saturday, he's standing behind me on the first tee, and he goes "you know you're aimed at the cart path, right?" I laughed it off. Hit my usual push-fade into the right rough. Second hole, same thing. By the 4th he just starts laughing every time I set up.

So I stick an alignment stick down on the range Sunday and put another one parallel at my feet, and I'll be damned. My shoulders were aimed like 15 yards right of where I thought I was going. Feet were fine! It was the shoulders. I've been subconsciously aiming right and then my hands have spent two years trying to save it, which explains every pull I've ever hit and probably half the swing tips I've been chasing like an idiot.

Spent the whole bucket just checking shoulder line with a club across my chest. Hit maybe 30 balls after that and flushed more 7 irons than I have all month. Not saying it's the magic bullet but WOW does it reframe the last two years of youtube rabbit holes.

How are you all checking this? Mirror? Buddy behind you? I feel like alignment is the one thing everybody skips because it's boring and not a "move". Also low key think a good playing partner is worth 20 instructional videos.
