played a course today that actually has bunkers everywhere, not just the one sad trap at my usual muni. greenside bunker on 12, I get in there, take my 56, swing hard, and the ball goes straight up and comes back down and almost hits my shoe. second attempt flew the green by 20 yards. third one I just picked up and walked away lol.
ended up in 5 bunkers total. got out clean once. the sand here is way softer than what I practice on at the range (which is basically concrete with a rake).
so what's the actual move here? do you open the face or square it? I've watched like 40 youtube videos and they all say something different. and do you change your swing for wet packed sand vs fluffy stuff? because I have zero clue
