Watching the tour championship last year and it hit me again. The staggered start is such a buzzkill. Like, why even play the first 54 holes if the guy starting at -10 just has to not blow up? I get they want to reward the season, but it makes the final round feel scripted. I was at East Lake in 2022 and the vibe was weird, half the crowd didn't even know the scores. Maybe I'm old school but I miss when it was just a straight up tournament. Anyone else feel this way or am I just yelling at clouds?
