Played my local muni this morning, first real fall round since I started playing this spring. Leaves were EVERYWHERE. Hit what I thought was a decent drive right down the middle on 3 and just... never found it. Spent like 4 minutes kicking around in a pile and gave up.
Went through 4 balls in 9 holes. One of them I literally watched land and still couldn't find it. Is this just how fall golf goes or am I doing something wrong?
What's the move here, do you guys play some kind of leaf rule where you just drop where you think it landed? Felt weird taking a free drop but I also wasn't about to walk back to the tee. And do those neon orange balls actually help or is that just a gimmick? Saw a guy playing one today and now I'm wondering.
