So I got tired of missing the center of the face and chopped my driver down. Went from 45.75 to 44.5, stock Hzrdus Smoke shaft, Rogue ST Max head. Local shop did it and put a lighter grip on to "keep the feel" whatever that means.

First range session was actually great. Contact was way better, and like 8 of 10 balls were a slight fade instead of my usual two-way miss. But it feels weird now. Like the head disappeared. I can't tell if it's the shorter length or the grip or if I'm just imagining things.

Do I need to add lead tape to the head to get the swing weight back? Or is that going to mess up everything I just fixed? I don't have a swing weight scale and honestly I don't fully understand what it does.

Also did I just waste money cutting a shaft I might want back later? haha
