Played Cog Hill #4 (Dubsdread) for the first time last week. Always heard it was a monster but damn. Wind was blowing 20+ and the rough was thick. Shot 94 from the blues and felt like I left 10 shots out there.
The par 3s are no joke. #6 played 210 into the wind, had to hit 3 wood. And #14 with the water left? Yikes. Greens were rolling about 11 and had some serious undulation. Not quite Medinah #3 level but close.
Anyone else played it recently? I know they did some renovation a while back. Wondering if it's still considered a top Chicago track or if it's fallen off. For $150 I'd say it's worth it once but not a regular stop. Curious what others think.
