My buddy finally wore me down and I'm doing league night this Thursday. I'm a 24 handicap on a good day and the only golf I've ever played is casual rounds with the same 3 guys. So I have zero clue what I'm walking into.
I keep hearing people throw around net scoring and stableford and I honestly don't know which one applies here. Does someone walk you through the format or are you just supposed to know? Also I take a breakfast ball off the first tee pretty much every round when nobody's looking. Guessing that's a no go in league lol.
And do you putt everything out? My 3 footers are a coin flip and I'd rather not get roasted by strangers on hole 2.
Any league vets here? What's the actual vibe, is it chill or do people take it dead serious?
