Anyone actually use AimPoint in real rounds?

Played with a guy last weekend who does the whole AimPoint thing. Arm out, two fingers up, feeling the slope with his feet. I gave him crap about it for like 6 holes.

Then on 14 I had maybe a 20 footer that broke 3 feet and I asked him where to aim. He walks it off, holds up two fingers, points at a spot well right of the hole. I roll it, dead center. Didn't say another word about it the rest of the round.

So now I'm up at 10pm watching youtube videos about it like an idiot. For anyone who actually does this: how long before it stops feeling like a party trick? And are you doing the finger thing on every putt or just the big breakers? I can't picture myself doing it over a 3 footer with randoms watching.
